Where it starts

I won't bore you all with the details of the engagement (trust me - there is no romantic story involved - which is just how I like it!) so I will start off at the start of the planning - THE DRESS!

The dress turned out to be fairly simple for me - after the initial kerfuffle. I initially purchased a custom made dress from China which turned out to be... pretty terrible. It cost me about $250AU so it wasn't a big loss and when I really thought about it, it would be easier and far less stressful if I went and purchased a dress here that I was happy with.

Interestingly enough, after I bought my second dress, I showed the China one to my future mother-in-law and it isn't as bad as I had thought. It needs a lot of work with a tailor to make it wearable but its not a complete disaster as I had first thought.

Back on topic though! The dress I ended up going with was a Prononvias La Sposa dress. I can't remember exactly how I discovered Pronovias but ALL the dresses are amazing! I fell in love with about 10 of them.

My dress is the Lizana which is currently on order and about 2 - 4 months away (this was ordered in November!)

With the dress out of the way, the fun REALLY begins!

Stay tuned :)

An Introduction

I am in the middle of planning my dream wedding.

Yes, I know, I'm one of those girls who have been planning my wedding since I was about 16. Sure it was to some big movie star, somewhere in Hollywood but still - it counts!

My name is Cassy and this coming October I will be getting married (cue the cheers and jumping about).

A friend suggested I start a blog after seeing package after package arrive for me full of wedding stuff. 'People will LOVE to see all the things you've bought!' she said.

Well, we'll see.

So hello everybody and welcome!

In this blog I intend to take you all on a journey. A planning journey. Through the ups and downs and crazy bridezilla moments that are expected in the coming months.

You will all hopefully be dazzled by my wedding ingenuity... or something.
